With hundreds of thousands of tonnes of material moving through our machines each year a robust maintenance regime is essential.

Built to last, our machines are designed and manufactured to withstand heavy usage. After working throughout the winter months, all machines will be returning to base in rotation over the coming weeks for a full overhaul to ensure safe and efficient operations throughout 2019.

Working over two shifts per day to minimise downtime, an in-depth preventative and corrective maintenance programme will be carried out by our skilled fitters. Three machines at a time will return to the workshop for a week each.

The maintenance programme includes a full inspection and cleaning procedure, functional checks of all equipment, replacing worn parts and consumables and repairing any damage to the chassis or Velocity patching unit.

Once quality checks have been performed, the machines are returned to use throughout the UK.

The annual overhaul increases the reliability and up-time of our fleet, maximising productivity for customers. Throughout the year our team of mobile fitters are able to respond quickly in the event of any failures, backed-up by a full stock of spare parts.

This year is forecast to be the busiest ever for the fleet, with customers using Velocity patching as part of their asset management programmes throughout the UK.
