Velocity Patching is an innovative approach for quickly tackling thousands of defects, delivering permanent repairs that cost a fraction of traditional patching techniques.

The Velocity patcher forces air at high speed into potholes to clear them out, then the area is coated with cold bitumen to create a perfect seal, before aggregate is coated in bitumen and applied, again at high speed.

The process takes just a couple of minutes, but the intensive bottom-up layering process makes for a strong durable repair without causing further damage to the road.

There’s no excavation, no waste, no need for road closures, and because there’s no heat involved, it’s also exceptionally low on carbon emissions.

Surface Preparation

First, high velocity air applied through the delivery hose is used to remove all dust and debris from the defect, leaving a perfect base for the repair.

Protection

A cold bitumen emulsion is forced into every crack and crevice, sealing the defect and protecting it by preventing the ingress of water.

Material application

The aggregate mix is fired at high velocity through the delivery hose, evenly coating the granules with bitumen emulsion.
